FEB21 TEMPORARY FRIENDS

These were also taken a few weeks ago and I don't remember where. What I do remember is that it was quite a cold day and we were desperately looking for a cafe that we could warm up, eat cheaply and sketch people in.

FEB20 TEMPORARY DISTORTION

This photo was taken a few weeks back when I hadn't started working yet and Jonathan was still here. I'm not completely sure but I think this was near the New Museum where I, unfortunately, didn't take any photos. If you want to see what it was like, you can do so by taking a look at Jonathan's blog.
Just imagine it being a pretty cool building with interesting, good and not so good art. It's a cool place and there was some sort of dance/gymnastics-show going on there when we were there. Thursday evening is there pay-what-you-wish-time (which is why we, too, decided to go there on that day) so the museum is packed with a whole lot of full-time hipsters. Kind of like Berlin. It made us look really special because we didn't look special.

FEB16 PEOPLE

"Here! Here! Take a picture of me! I'll even do some poses for you!"

"Look! Look! She's taking a picture of me!"

JAN27 YOU ARE YOU

Jonathan, Swinda and I really enjoyed our first few days in the city. All of us are quite artsy (especially Swinda who will start studying art this fall) so we spent most of our time either visiting museums during their pay-what-you-wish-times or sitting in cafes or diners and trying not to let the other people notice we're drawing them. Both of which was lots of fun! While Swinda is still here, keeping me company until nearly end of May, Jonathan is now roaming the streets of Ushuaia, Argentina, and will be traveling through South America for 7 months.
Tomorrow is my first day of work!
