Jérôme teaches most of our swimming classes. The pool is not that big so it's not that easy to actually swim in it but regular gym classes are quite impossible here (due to heat and lack of space) so it's a great alternative.
I've been in the pool and I've taught two classes there as well. The thing is, as a volunteer or teacher you have to wear actual clothes (as in shorts and a t-shirt) when you go swimming there which isn't that great for real swimming or relaxing by the pool. Having a pool right in front of your living room is pretty awesome, though, especially in a hot place like Cambodia!

Bei uns an der Schule haben die Kinder statt Sportunterricht Schwimmen, weil wir keine Turnhallen oder Plätze haben und es bei der Hitze sowieso nicht so gut klappen würde. Jérôme unterrichtet die meisten Kurse, aber ich selbst habe auch schon zwei mal Schwimmunterricht gegeben. Obwohl es echt cool ist, einen Pool direkt unter dem Wohnzimmer zu haben, war ich noch nicht so oft dort schwimmen, weil der Pool relativ klein ist und man als Volunteer richtige Kleidung zum Schwimmen anziehen muss (Shorts und T-shirt), was irgendwie ein bisschen blöd ist. Der Pool bietet aber eine super Alternative zu normalem Sportunterricht und ist eine tolle Erfrischung bei dem Wetter hier!
